Fairytale Christmas Decoration 2016 at The Curve

The most wonderful time of the year is here again. The Curve at Mutiara Damansara is decorated to the theme of Anastasia’s Mesmerising Christmas Gala.

I was having lunch at The Curve last week and was treated to a Christmas fit for royalty. It is a perfect place to pretend that I am Cinderella going to a ball, except that I don’t own a sparkly ballroom dress and fancy glass slippers.

As you walk through the main entrance, you will be greeted by a magnificent indoor castle standing 12m tall and decorated with gold-and-red ornaments at the mall’s Centre Court.

A guard statue on both sides of the entrance to the castle

Walk through the gates of the castle and you’ll find yourself in a grand Royal Ballroom. The surroundings of the castle (on the inside) are decorated with chandeliers and red poinsettia.

What I like about the Christmas decorations in The Curve, unlike other malls, is that it is not filled with stalls smack in the middle of the decorated Centre Court. Too much is going on with all the stalls being individually decorated, this makes it hard for visitors to appreciate the beauty of the main decoration with all the distractions.

The stage in the grand Royal Ballroom. The stage decorated with Christmas trees, red and gold ornaments and beautiful chandeliers. I was there on a weekday so it was relatively empty in the mall. Perfect for photo-shooting. The Curve can get really packed on the weekend, especially now during the holiday seasons.

Also, there will be Christmas Gala musical performances that tells the tale of Princess Anastasia and the musical ball she holds for other royals throughout the land as well as her favourite holiday season. This explains why the centre of the Centre Court space was left vacant without stalls.

Our very-own Miss Malaysia 2015 Brynn Lovett is performing as the main character Princess Anastasia. The musical performances are held twice a day on the weekends and Public Holidays at 2pm and 5pm. Oh well, like I said, I was there on a weekday. Boohoo.

View from the first floor of The Curve. You can see the whole build-up of the fairytale castle with towers and bastions surrounding the Grand Royal Ballroom.
